Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies EventSuri uses, why we use them, and how you can control your cookie preferences.
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, to remember your preferences and to give website operators information about how their site is being used.
Cookies are stored on your device by your web browser. A cookie contains a name, a value and information about how long it should be kept. Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies) while others remain on your device until they expire or you delete them (persistent cookies).
In addition to cookies, we may use similar tracking technologies such as web beacons, pixel tags and local storage where appropriate. This Policy covers all such technologies collectively.
Cookies cannot run programmes on your computer or deliver viruses. They are not executable files and cannot access other files on your device.
How We Use Cookies
EventSuri uses cookies for the following purposes:
- Authentication: To keep you logged in as you navigate the Platform so you do not have to sign in on every page.
- Security: To protect your session and prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks.
- Preferences: To remember your settings such as timezone and display preferences.
- Analytics: To understand how visitors use the Platform so we can improve it.
- Marketing: To measure the performance of our marketing campaigns where you have given consent.
Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are necessary for the Platform to function. They enable core features such as keeping you logged in, protecting your session and processing ticket purchases. The Platform cannot function properly without these cookies. They do not store any personally identifiable information beyond what is required for the session.
Because essential cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to operate, they cannot be disabled through your cookie preferences. You can delete them through your browser settings but doing so will log you out and may affect Platform functionality.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session identifier that keeps you logged in and maintains your session state across pages | Session | |
| Security token stored in your session to protect against cross-site request forgery attacks on forms | Session | |
| Stores your authenticated session data including user ID and role after login | 24 hours | |
| Records your cookie consent preferences so we do not ask again on your next visit | 12 months |
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies allow the Platform to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, more personalised features. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages.
If you disable functional cookies, some features of the Platform may not work as expected. For example, your timezone or display preferences may not be saved between visits.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Stores your selected timezone so event dates and times are displayed correctly for your location | 12 months | |
| Remembers recent event searches to improve autocomplete suggestions | 30 days | |
| Stores your preferred city for event discovery so we show locally relevant results by default | 30 days |
Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform by collecting information in an aggregated, anonymous form. This information helps us improve the Platform, understand which features are most useful and identify technical issues.
We use Google Analytics for this purpose. The data collected is anonymised and cannot be used to identify you personally. Google Analytics operates under Google's own privacy policy.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated identifier | 2 years | |
| Google Analytics | Stores and counts page views for the current session | 2 years | |
| Google Analytics | Distinguishes users for session-level analytics | 24 hours | |
| Google Analytics | Throttles request rate to Google Analytics servers | 1 minute |
Analytics cookies are only loaded if you have given consent or if you have not opted out. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on .
Marketing Cookies
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites and measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. These cookies are set by third-party advertising platforms with our permission.
Marketing cookies are only loaded after you have given explicit consent. If you have not consented to marketing cookies, they will not be placed on your device.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meta (Facebook) | Used by Facebook to deliver advertisements and measure their effectiveness | 3 months | |
| Meta (Facebook) | Stores the last Facebook ad click to attribute conversions correctly | 2 years |
Marketing cookies require your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by updating your cookie preferences or clearing your browser cookies.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on the Platform are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages. These cookies are subject to the privacy and cookie policies of those third parties. We do not control these cookies but we only allow trusted providers to set them.
| Provider | Purpose | Category |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Usage analytics and performance measurement | Analytics |
| Google Sign-In | Optional authentication via Google account | Essential (when used) |
| Meta (Facebook) Pixel | Marketing attribution and campaign measurement | Marketing |

You can learn more about how each provider uses cookies by reading their privacy policies directly.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have several options for managing cookies. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform.
All modern browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these options under Privacy, Security or Advanced settings. You can choose to block all cookies, accept only essential cookies or delete cookies at any time.
If you block or delete essential cookies, you will be logged out of the Platform and some features will not work. Blocking functional cookies means your preferences will not be saved between visits. Blocking analytics and marketing cookies has no effect on core Platform functionality.
Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not wish to be tracked. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals.
At present, EventSuri does not alter its data collection practices in response to DNT signals. However, you can use the cookie controls described in this Policy to manage your preferences directly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal, technical or business reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. For material changes that affect your rights, we will provide more prominent notice through the Platform or by email where appropriate.
